Maternity Leave | through July 8, 2012

Hey everyone! We are expecting our first child any day now. We’re just a few short days out from Jackson’s “guess date” and we could not be more excited! I will be taking maternity leave from now until July 8, 2012 to adjust to being a new mom, overindulge in sweet baby snuggles, and spend time getting to know our little one with Tim and our families. Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes! Clients – if you email or call I will get back with you after July 8th. I would love to set up your session or wedding consultation for after that date and get you on the calendar! Thank you all again for being so wonderful!

Evan & Meredith | Just for Fun {Clarksville, TN Photographer}

Evan and Meredith are the best! I knew we were in for a fun photo shoot after their initial consultation. Meredith is so full of energy and fun and Evan is a laid back kind of guy. They balance each other well! They’ve been married for a little over two years and wanted some pictures to capture this time in their lives. I love shoots like this! Meredith chose a quaint little town for their session and we found some great spots there. Evan and Meredith thank you both for being so much fun! And extra thanks to Meredith for the Dunkin’ Donuts donut holes she brought me to the photo viewing. I may or may not have ate almost the entire bag…. ;)

Derek & Lilya | Maternity | Clarksville, TN Photographer

I absolutely loved this session! Derek and Lilya were a breeze to work with and Lilya was amazing. She was 40 weeks pregnant – yes you read that right – when we shot these images! She was having Braxton Hicks contractions nearly the entire time but you would have never known it. She even wore high heels for the last part of the session! We hadn’t originally planned to take their maternity photos so late in her pregnancy. They were hoping for some snow photos and Clarksville, Tennessee decided it wanted nothing to do with snow this year. So we opted for a gorgeous “Spring” day in March. :) At the time Derek and Lilya did not know if their baby was a boy or girl. They knew from the start that they wanted to be surprised and called the baby Munchkin. Munchkin was born almost two weeks late – a healthy baby boy that they named Parker! He’s adorable and I along with so many others just knew they were having a boy. :) Congratulations Derek and Lilya! We are thrilled for the two of you!

Matracia | 2012 Senior | Rossview High School | Clarksville, TN

Matracia is a beautiful girl inside and out! Just spend a few minutes with her and you’ll realize that immediately. I had so much fun with her and her mom Gloria last week. We were all over downtown Guthrie and then off to a yellow flower field in Adams. The field was a little higher than I thought it would be so we were using the reflector to scare any potential snakes away. Eeeeeee! Luckily we captured some beautiful photos and saw no wildlife. :) Matracia – enjoy the rest of your senior year because these last two months will go fast. I wish you the best of luck at UT Martin! :) And many thanks to you and your sweet family for the baby gift for Jack!

Carter | 12 days old {Clarksville, TN Newborn Photographer}

Sweet baby Carter was born in December and I could not wait to meet him! I photographed Rebecca and Casey’s maternity session last Fall and was thrilled when they contacted me for newborn photos. Carter was 12 days old when we scheduled the session. He did so well and slept almost the entire time! Oh how being around a newborn baby boy makes me even more excited to meet my little man. Rebecca and Casey – again thank you both for allowing me to be a part of this special time in your lives! You are two of the kindest people I’ve met and I’m blessed to now call you friends. :)

In the midst of busy season I somehow forgot to blog Rebecca and Casey’s maternity session from this Fall. How could I do that?? This is one of my faaaaavorite sessions to date. I loved the locations they chose and their outfits were perfect! Rebecca and Casey are two wonderful people and they’re already amazing parents to their first baby Carter – who’s newborn session I will be blogging right after this post! :) Thank you both for allowing me to capture your sweet family at such a special time in your life!
