Blair & Bryan {Wedding}

Blair and Bryan’s wedding was nothing short of beautiful! They were married at the Garrett Bullock House in Columbus, GA on June 12th. I have been looking forward to this wedding since they booked me over a year ago! Blair was stunning and you would never have known it was over 90 degrees that day by looking at her. Thank you both for choosing me to document your wedding day. I wish you nothing but love and happiness in your marriage!

I had so much fun photographing this beautiful family! Becky, Trevor and their oh so adorable daughter Rachel met me in downtown Clarksville for their session. I had mostly emailed Becky and spoke over the phone once but I knew right way we would hit it off. She had seen the photos I took of the Power’s family and wanted some of her own. We could definitely arrange that! We planned an afternoon session, and even though it was super hot, we had a great time!

Rachel kept wanting to “run!” so we let her go. I see a future in track for this sweet little girl. I love the next three photos!

Blair Bridals {University of Alabama}

First off, I love this session! L.O.V.E….love! When I initially met with Blair for our booking consultation, she mentioned that she was a pitcher for the University of Alabama softball team in college. I almost fell out of my chair when she said she wanted to shoot her bridal session on the softball field in Tuscaloosa. Wedding dress, red dirt, and a fearless bride? Umm…YES, please! I have been holding onto this session since November, almost seven months, and I am so excited to be able to share them now. Blair married her fiance Bryan this past weekend in a gorgeous ceremony at the Garrett Bullock House in Columbus, GA. Now that her dress has been revealed at her wedding, I can show off how beautiful she looked in her bridals!

We started off around campus before heading over to the field…

It’s hard to tell, but we had a huge sheet of clear plastic tucked underneath Blair’s dress. Even though she was willing to wear her dress on the field, we didn’t want it to get dirty before her wedding!

See the skull earrings? They’re lucky and Blair wore them in every game she pitched. I love when clients make their session unique to them.

And just for fun…see the girl in the photo second from the right? #11 – that’s Blair! We just had to get this shot. :)

Julia | Newborn

Sweet baby Julia….she is only 6 days old in these photos! I love adorable little newborn babies. I may even venture to say that photographing Julia made me want a baby of my own. However it will be a few more years before that happens, so don’t get any ideas! ;) I found this cute little vintage hat box at Betty’s Antiques here in Clarksville, TN and knew immediately that I wanted to photograph a baby in it. WPPI {2010}

I’ve been back from WPPI for a week and I’m still spinning from the classes and trade show. WPPI is a photographer’s jungle gym to say the least! I could have stayed in the trade show all day and still have not visited every booth – it’s that large! The ability to see and feel the quality of what new products are available to offer my clients and meeting my vendors in person is priceless. The classes were inspirational and motivating! I also loved being able to make new friends and spend time with my AKC girls. We all roomed together so it was like we were back in Charleston again only trade the beach for slot machines and the stench of cigarettes. Let’s be honest, Las Vegas is fun to see but it’s not a place I would really want visit if it weren’t for WPPI. Maybe next year they’ll move it to Hawaii! ;)

Out of Office | WPPI {Las Vegas}

I will be out of the office Sunday March 7 – Thurday March 11 for WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas! All emails and phone calls will be returned on Friday March 12th. Thank you in advance for your patience. :) WPPI is the largest convention and tradeshow for professional photographers. This is my second year attending and I’m so excited! I love taking the classes and scouting out new products to offer my clients. I look forward to making new friends and of course seeing all of my Alpha Kappa Camera girls!
