Emerald Coast to The Space Needle

Whew! What fun these past two weeks have been! I hope you forgive me for the lack of blogging, but we were on vacation for 2 weeks!!! We are happy to be home, but we had oh so much fun. We started our trip on July 1st in Destin, Florida. We love Destin. It’s as simple as that. We’ve vacationed there at least once every summer since we’ve been together and plan to keep returning! The emerald coast water is gorgeous and the beaches are pure white. After a week of getting a tan (finally!) we headed back home for two nights before we were off again. This time we packed up and flew all the way across the country to Seattle, WA for a friends wedding. We go way back with Seattle and Washington. We were stationed at Ft. Lewis (45 min South of Seattle) for almost 3 years. It was our first duty station once we were married, Tim deployed for the first time from there, we got Murphy & Raven, and we made unforgettable friends. I could go on and on with why we love Washington. It had been almost 1 1/2 years since we left in December 2007 to move to Ft. Benning. As much as I wanted to move away once I stepped off of the plane I realized how much I really did love living in the great Northwest! If the sun didn’t hide for 6-8 months out of the year I would want to be there forever. I have a feeling we’ll be visiting during the summers more often though. :)

We returned home yesterday and I’m catching up with emails/phone calls/editing/album designs/etc. I have plenty of photos from the trip to share, but they’ll have to wait until my clients photos are up first! Until then here we are on Lake Sammamish. :)

Jamie Burnett - Welcome back… You were missed! :)

Becka @Studio222 - I’ve never been up there but I was just talking about it with a friend. We both agreed that if it wasn’t so gray, we would both like to move to Seattle :)

Kara - Ok, so I may be weird, but I got choked up reading this post. I miss the NW too, so many great memories (our house, Joseph being born, visiting my sister and family in Portland, even working for STL), and so many unforgettable friendships!

courtney - You guys are the cutest :)
