Lesley & JR {Wedding}

When Lesley contacted me to shoot her wedding I was beyond ecstatic! Lesley was my big sister in our non-greek service sorority XDA at Virginia Tech. She and I met when I pledged in the Spring of 2004 and I secretly hoped she would choose me to be her little. I was so happy when it was revealed that she was my big! We attended numerous service projects together throughout the next few months. I can honestly say Lesley is one of the sweetest people I know and she has a huge heart. I had not met JR until the day of the wedding, but I knew he had to be an amazing person too! They fit so well together and their wedding day was beautiful. There were so many pictures with them glancing at each other with admiration throughout the day that I almost cried while editing! Lesley & JR were married at War Memorial Chapel at Virginia Tech and their reception was at the Blacksburg Country Club. Thank you both for choosing me to photograph your wedding! I know your life together is going to be wonderful and I wish you all the best! Go Hokies!!! ;)

I love this shot of the guys in the doorway. Love.

Lesley you are stunning!

This just shows how laid back and sweet Lesley is. The wind picked up and tossed her veil everywhere, but rather than get upset and stress she went with it and laughed. I love the resulting images! {Image on the left is courtesy of one of my second shooters – Brad Lovell}

Could they have chosen more beautiful children for the wedding party?

This is the only shot Lesley & JR requested. Your looking at every wedding guest in attendance!

I adore the next few images…

Lesley….seriously?! Again you are stunning!

Dear Future Grooms: Please look at your bride like this so I can photograph it. This is another fave!

Lesley special ordered a bottle of Crown Royal for JR that said “See you at the chapel at 2pm. I love you!” How sweet is that? Notice the bottle is empty? I didn’t get to photograph it until the reception. ;)

And of course no Virginia Tech wedding is complete without an appearance from the Hokie Bird! Lesley and JR kept this a secret from pretty much everyone. You can image the excitement when the Hokie Pokie started playing and out came our school mascot!

If anything looks familiar you’ve been a blog stalker for a while now. ;) Lesley loved the bridemaid dresses and cake from Jenna & Ian’s wedding so much that she decided to incorporate a similar style into her wedding! I love when brides get ideas this way!
